Lifeboat week!!

I haven't been able to go for about 5 years or so I was so looking forward to going all of last week..!! 'Lyme Regis Lifeboat week' is a Brilliant week of events in order to raise money for the RNLI!! The whole of Dad's family come over to it and we rent a hut for the week!!
The Highlights have to be the Red Arrows and the Raf Falcons..!! Also the Harbour swim is a great event for the whole family - this year 8 of the family represnted us in the swim..!! It was soooo warm!! My cousin of 9 was the youngest with my uncle entering it being in his 40's!!
(Dad entered it one year with me and rich and went BLUE, having also come in last..!!)
Also last Wednesday we had another game for 'The Saint's'... and we won!! But it was such a weird game (you will have to ask me about it!) . It was great fun, though I could not bowl consistently to save my life...!! Still I got an wicket, which is the main thing!! Stroudie who hadn't played since he left school got 3 people out...!! I could not beleive it!!
What is a apin with this retake is the fact that I have had to pull out of Camp...!! PANTS or what..?!! Still its my B'day soon..!!

Swimming!!

But also I was able to use the school pool (Plymouth College - left) yesterday for a good swim, which was nice!! There was hardly anybody in there it was amazing! The really nice thing is that OPM's are allowed to use it free!!
Th main reason for the swim was to get into a bit of training for a the Harbour Swim on Thursday at Lyme Regis - A distance of 2/3 mile across th harbour!!
(and now ache all over!!)

Music of the Night!!

3 1/2 hours of Music, Fireworks, choir, Musicals, Artillery guns..etc!! All this is put on over a week by a total 500 cast including the Marines of '29 Comando' (they do a bit as well showing what they do best!!) who's base it is, and who host it!!
It is a truely remarkable event that only happens every 2 years!! and runs for a week when it is on!! UNBELIEVABLE!!
Other than that I have mostly been revising...!! Appart from the fact that I found a stereo for my room in Cardiff for the bargain price of £18.75!!

Cricket...?!!Me..?!!

The Church Cricket team - 'The Saints' (nicknamed by Claire Merridith's Dad, George - quite fitting really!!)
Last night I played for them against Dad's work- Wolferstan's Solicitors!! However I don't recommend playing with a Broken Toe!! I managed to bowl field and bat though which was good, thougha any running between the wicket was slow and quite painful...!! Probably not the bestthing for the healing process..??!!
It was great fun , and what a great witness Dad's work colleagues!! The majority of us hadn't played for about a year or never played before!! Lets hope that next wednesday we can improve some what..?!!!

Hot day...or what!!

This was the setting for the Shakspearian play last night..!! The stage was up against the house and we all sat on the lawn before it..!! It was BEAUTIFUL!! The sun jsut setting over to the left of the picture as you look at it!!
The play was EXECELLENT as well, with the main character having being the brilliant production of the Oscar Wilde classic, 'The Ideal Husband' that was recently on TV (thoughly recommend it!!).
Also yesterday I was revising in the garden topping up my tan...whilst in Plymout the roads where melting!! That is INSANE!! Surely roads aren't meant to do that...?!!

Week of beauty, relaxation and elation!!

Another photo of the now legendary concert of Ben Harper!! Have realised that Martin's picture files are huge....also I am uploading from my USB stick - takes ages!!
(Just listening to a bit of 'Nickelback' and 'Massive Attack' - CLASS tunes!!)
This past week has been BRILLIANT!! Harlyn is beautiful, I kid you not!! For the first few days the surf was nice as well which was good (2-4ft and 'cleanish' - Saturday evening was the best!), weather wasn't so good though!! The 'Minack Theatre' is a must if you are ever in Cornwall....amazing place witha very funny play!!
There was also a steady stream of visitors satying for varoius reasons and lengths of time including Bowdes and a 'car load', some of the Mc's and Dayo!! However as the week progressed the surf dropped, but the weather imporved - GOOD STUFF!!
On another completely different note...One of my 'Friends' (!) may have broken his toe on a surf board in huge swell (about 1ft!!) whilst learning how to surf properly (he usually bodyboards!!).
I have passed my Neuroanatomy exam....
